Muscle Pain can be caused by many different factors. Common causes are through Improper Posture, a Stressful Lifestyle or an Injury, such as a muscle strain or tear.

Specific pain and discomfort in a certain area of your body - this could be a deep ache or the pain may feel like a sharp twinge when you move a certain way.
If you are feeling a lack of mobility and stiffness in your body.
Having migraines which can be a symptom of muscles tension in the upper back and neck.
Low back ache or pain that radiates down the back of a leg.

Remedial Massage will give the most relief from pain and can help increase mobility and range of motion. I will take you through a consultation and try to pin point the source of the pain you are experiencing.
I will then tailor the treatment to you and explain a treatment plan. This also means the pressure used during the treatment will be adapted to your preference. I am aiming to get your body to relax, while I work on the muscles. This will help your nervous system release the tension in the muscles. While it is usually a deeper pressure it should not be outwith your personal comfort zone.
I usually advise a 90 minute session for your first treatment and if you haven’t visited before.

What to expect
Remedial Massage is a combination of fascial release and massage techniques. Depending on the Treatment plan I may include some stretching techniques to help lengthen the muscles. I often use some targeted heat therapy with heated stones to help further relax the muscles.
When being massaged, you will be covered with a towel, with the exception of the area being worked on. Please bring a pair of loose shorts (and a vest top for females) for your assessment.
